What are we here for, if not for another day
What do we live for, for not another way
Something inside lingers, like a cancer we stay
Afar from those we love, with icy fingers and scars
With all the world watching from afar,
What are we here for, if for another scar
Cancer spreads like an evil we cannot stop
And yet we let evil provide, and endure.
To leave what is good, is far better
As we can enjoy it, and it does not linger
From an open ear, to an unholy place
Love is everywhere, but closed and near.
What should we do, but live
What are we here for, if all we relish is fear
Far from deeds undone, is god himself
He
What are we here for, if not for another day
What do we live for, for not another way
Something inside lingers, like a cancer we stay
Afar from those we love, with icy fingers and scars
With all the world watching from afar,
What are we here for, if for another scar
Cancer spreads like an evil we cannot stop
And yet we let evil provide, and endure.
To leave what is good, is far better
As we can enjoy it, and it does not linger
From an open ear, to an unholy place
Love is everywhere, but closed and near.
What should we do, but live
What are we here for, if all we relish is fear
